I had the same prob, so I went to sprints or an auto shop with the hoses, and the matched them closely. Found that the commodore hoses came very close, but had to cut the top one as it was too long. No probs now and works like a charm. Costs less too.

Okay - Im reading this off the stickers for each

TOP
Mackay-Automotive -------> brand
CH1979
To Suit:
Top Hose
Holden Toyota
Vs 3.8Litre V6
Lexcen 3.8 Litre
V6

BOTTOM
Mackay-Automotive -------> brand
CH1708

Hope this helps

The bottom hose almost fit like a glove. The top one I had to trim back a bit but it worked a charm and have not had a prob for more that 7 months. Mind u I keep an eye on it just in case.

thanks mate.

yeh i used a radiator hose from a ford maverick/nissan patrol it was that long that it had a straight piece with a bit of a kink in the middle just like the stock hose just cut the bends off and it was as good as new.

but yes the bottom hose i think i will need to replace as i dont think it would be too long before tha goes.
