motor sounding funny

hey guys i need a hand my car is sounding weird. When i floor it and hit 6000 my exhaust goes from being a high pitch noise to the deepest pitch and it has only started doing this recently and not all the tym any body now

Your engine probably wasnt warmed up enough.

yeah i thought that but it even happens when it is warm

yh man but it has only started happening recently and my cars exhausted got fucked up when it got done and it has always been tinny but once and a while now it goes from really loud tinny to really loud deep note but only sometimes

if you get a deep note when its under 5800 it might be a hole or split in the exhaust, if its only above 5800 then it might just be the exhaust being worn in fully (and with mivec engaging) thats doing it, or with a hole as well.... :?: dunno

do you get a rattly buzzing sound around 4500?

the rattling/buzzing sound could be the flex pipe,.. try switching to a double-braided one and it also makes the engine noise around the front of the car a lot quieter. :)

er im in my own world a bit today

go to an exhaust shop its just he part that goes between the extractors and the cat...it flexes when the engine revs so ya exhaust doesnt snap off... about $300 i think.

hey guys my cat was stuffed and i have the wrong muffler on my car it has a buffeld muffler which is creating the tinny so gonan get a new one tommorow
