Who founded this site ?

Who founded this site ? who created it ? who started this whole thing ? i did a search and the earliest post i could find was in 2003, and the most common poster was "smorison"....anyone know ??

i just did a search for the joined dates and it says Smorison joined in 2002, and he was the first to sign up.

i'm guessing because of that he was the founder.

Actually. there was a database error in 2002, we were around before then

smorrison created the website and was the first Club President. He formed the club with a few others who aren't here anymore. Before this there was a mailing list on Yahoo Groups I think.

Those were the days.

Now the place is over run with damn noobs everywhere like you young whipper snappers

we owe a lot to the founders of this site, but i think we also owe a lot to people who keep it going.. Ben has been a great president for us.. and has done so much for the club... same with kaz helping to keep the noobs out... and Dstocks for providing all sorts of FTO related services... And pretty much anyone who has ever written a DIY...

just thought this to be an appropriate place to say thanks to all the people working behind the scenes to keep this site alive...

a lot of users dont realise our hectic meeting schedule (

)and the amount of time we put into drinking piss and cruising around with you blokes...

Err- hmnnnn - *laughs* we are still around, but just a lot quieter these days, its the age you know (hobbles off to find walking stick)

Teania - first club secretary (aka Smorisons dogsbody) - Kaveman (VP) before that he used to do most of the NSW events- (if you see "me" logged on - it could be either one of us.....

Toni (SXCFTO) VIC Coord is still around, AJ -ex-NSW coord is still here, Kaz has been here all along and bravely stepped up when we all stepped down - good work Kaz! Ben - well, words just can't describe Ben

and yes - those were some fun times, specially Mallacoota!!!! and there will be more fun times I'm sure

I like the way the place is running at the moment. You probably notice there's a few rules we are pretty relaxed about here & I think its lead to a really nice, tight 'family like' community. Good times
