:lol: sorry for being a post whore
having trouble with these dials, all day ,
when turning the headlights on they are making a beep sound and when i brighten the el dial the constant beep gets slightly louder, it does it while ignition is also on etc and off,
any ideas?
i have hooked it up
to the cigarette lighter lights, red wire to green wire, black wire to black.
any ideas tips ???
apreaciate any reply, id love some help before it gets dark so ican travel to work .

Is this beep sound perchance the same one as when you open the door with your lights on?
If you can't dazzle them with dexterity, baffle them with bull...

haha yeh thats funny !! nah thats not it ..
its a tone sound, like when u leave your lights on and get out of the car. except its there all the time when the lights are turned on even when the car is running or not .!!
but the sound is coming from a totaly different source !

where did u wire them to...??

may be try wiring them to other power source...i wired mine to the power antenna switch and it works fine..

i wired it to the light bulb wires coming off the cigarette lighter, red to green and black to black, from my understanding !!

It's the transformer or whatever for the EL dials making the clicking (mine did the same thing when I didn't have the power running in a circuit). If it's clicking (the little box) I'd say the circuit is being brocken somewhere. Check your wiring (use a multi meter or test light to make sure you've got and earth and lights on power) then I'd be checking the dials, I snapped the plugs on a few of mine by fitting them then turning the plugs at near 90degree angles.
