What does your name mean?

Post by nicholas »

Okay so we've got a lot of new (and regular) members around the forums these days, and I thought this would be a good way to break some ice. Also, I sometimes wonder what people's names on the forum are about and then make up stories that are completely off the wall... so, here's your chance to correct me.

I'll start - my forum name is pretty self explanatory, but to everyone everywhere I'm known as nick, I only use my full name when filling out forms and stuff like that... like forum sign-up forms :D

So, there it is. Who's up next?

Well... Im Ben, but like most Australian nicknames - you take an easy name & make it harder or longer.

So Ben went to Benno, Benno went to Bennoz (pronounced Ben-nose... said quickly)

n : one who wrongfully or illegally seizes and holds the place of another [syn: usurper]

My name is James. The biblical meaning of James is Supplanter. Easy

Back in the days when i first got the net i couldn't think of a name.....and i was abit dopey... so went for 'SomeGuy', then later changed it to S0MEGuY to be hip lol. used to even have black number plates with 'someguy' written on them on the FTO, and they're still in my name but not on the car any more... makes me look like i have a personality disorder a bit

going for a boring name next time i need a nickname for a forum, like my real name or something, which is Michael..... :)
