yeah, An eldering lady up here who has a black GPX from her son had to have the old roof removed and new one fitted, it was past saving. Cost a motsa but can't remember how much now and don't want to exaggerate. Roof had to be brought in from Japan. Don't know why one couldn't be sorted local.

Sorry mate, I'm sure yours isn't that bad. Hers almost had holes in it, all the way across the top of the windscreen, I'd say there is no way a few little bubbles could be that bad.

Well you shouldnt have to replace but you do need to say to whoever is painting it, that it needs to be inspected from both inside and outside of the car and any rust must be grinded out (as its like cancer, if you dont get it all it will come back). All the welds need to be broken off and resealed and plenty of fish oil and rust inhibitors need to be used.

dont waste your time getting a new roof, chop the prick out, and turn it into an AEROTOP, like the supra from fast and furious, thats what i was contemplating doing.

Hmmm feeling a little insulted by that. Everyone who's seen my car reckon the black deep dishes look pretty damn good, well when they're clean anyway. I shopped around for quite a while before I got em.
As for that viper it just wouldnt be the same without em.

f**k him, nissans are *~delightful!~*. deep dish are awesome, on any car, and make the wheels look so much bigger than their flat dished counterparts. flat dished wheels are for HSV's.

Use your existing roof, but clean the rust up and respray it with custom rubber seals and lockpoints like a Del Sol/ 300zx/ Supra etc. I reckon it would end up not costing much more than a new bloody roof.
I wanted to spray my whole turret black to sort of not stand out as much (white paint).
