EOI Creative mirrors

Post by dstocks »

Found a set of white creative side mirrors on Yahoo with 24hrs to go. Anyone interested:

http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g58982324

Current price about $110 with a buy it now for about $190. Postage and commission for the buyer (in Japan) would be added on top.

Couple of quick questions that i hope you may be able to answer :

    1) Are they the factory FTO white colour as the any's in the picture are white.

    2) Are the straight bolt on with no mods required ?

    3) Are the miirrors elctric ? They don't look like it in the pic.

Let me know as i'm definately interested.

I would say that they are scotia white (FTO white) as they are second hand and off an FTO.

Straight bolt on - Im not sure. Dont know much about them, but these are made for the FTO, so I would assume so.

Are they electric - dont know that either, but if you translate the text (put the URL into babelfish (http://babelfish.yahoo.com/) and translate it, it intimates that they could be.

Fraid I can help more. Just know that these are a RARE item and people have wanted a set in the past. Maybe if you go to the creative site (listed under manufacturers on my website) youd have more of an idea.

    heres the translated description:

It is the ガナドール make mirror for FTO.
It bid successfully in the past auction, but being not to use it exhibits.
You think that it is something which was sold with creative sport.
It is painted with white, but being to have peeled off rather, that you think whether the one which re-was painted is good.
And others being to be the rag rag with aged deterioration the beam it changed the sponge which the れ て is to the installation aspect of the body newly.
The cover of blindness which pastes on the screw has not belonged.
As for being able to operate by the electromotion of the mirror verification has done also left and right.
The instruction manual does not belong.
Being to be the used item, we ask with the no claim no return.
Dispatch is house urgent at flight execution schedule.
Because this one work is busy there are times when communication and dispatch are late but acknowledgement.

As there are bids on this one already and there is less than 24 hrs to go, ill need an answer by say mid morning tomorrow at the latest. If there are any other questions I can help with (or not help with  ), let me know.

    cheers

Thanks for the reply but i think the final costings are just not going to warrant the purchase even though they are a beautiful mirror.

Looks like they will need to be sprayed and i may lose the electric operation which is important as i'm not the only driver of my car.

        Yep,

Buyer gets either 10% or 15% of buy price (there are 2 different buyers). Youll pay a few dollars in paypal fees, bank fees and Tax in Japan sometimes. The guy that organises things over her in Aust gets 10% and the rest is postage. Postage can either be Airmail or Surface freight and the airmail cost is very weight sensitive ive found. I have a link to calculate the postage cost somewhere will post it up when I can. Will also put this in a post in General (with more detail) in the next few days.

Dstocks ... If you are sending payments O/S ... And are converting to local currency .. Not Paypal, but direct internet transfers... I can get you ForEx rates ... Should be a good rate with a small transaction charge (at the moment 99c, but goes up to $5 at the end of the mont) ... This is heaps cheaper then going into a bank, and being slugged $20-30 to send a payment over seas ...
