red fto plate across rear

hey maybe one of u guys or gals could help me with this

when i imported my fto it came with a red perspex looking piece joining the rear taillights and removing IMO the ugly part of the back which makes it look like theres a gap goin into the boot where the fto part is stamped into the back, i notice delvance has it and a couple of others as well as mine but not every one has it, as far as i know mine is just a standard 96' gpx with lo kms but am not sure if this peice has been stuck on afterwards, are they off a version r or were they just an option im confused as i havent seen to many with it on,

any help would be good just to clear my suspisions

Gotta love the look on the bogan v8 drivers faces when they hear the scream of 7500rpm mivec slaying there puny 5 litre paper weights with twice the power, yeah thats a FTO

Its an optional part applied when the car was sold (hence why some have them and some dont.)

      thanks Dwayne, you really do know your stuff man hahaha you seem to be helpin me out with everything lately, shame your not my lousy f*@kin Smash Repairer dwayne cos he still aint got my car of the autorobot and how long ago was it you sent me those parts, its now been 5 months and i had it for 3 when i cracked my rim so its now been in a shop longer then ive owned it 8O :cry:

        Worth getting imho, makes the rear end actually look semi nice. My car had it and i was gonna remove it before trading in but it had some double sided tape (the black permanent stuff)...saw it and couldn't be bothered lol.

        I wasn't a fan of it ... Always hated it...

        But, mine came with it on ... I was thinking of ripping it off, but it has kind of grown on me now...
