cant blame the car, it was beautiful, pity about the guard.

EXACTLY! i could so easily have been killed!

i was thinking that when i turned right on that roundabout, i probably saved my life, and the 3 other lads in the car, i usually dont go thatway and if i had continued straight the next corner was a reasonably quick right hander with cliff face on the right and a cliff drop of about 40m into mangroves on the left 8O

yes it would have happened in an fto, or any car for thatmatter, i think there is a problem with casting as if you look at the pic of the wheel you can see heaps of stick on wieghts... for a new rim, new tyre and new car it shouldnt need 8 frickin counter weights!

G2's are not good. I should know, being in the family buisness ( Tyre and Wheel shop-8yrs now).
We USED to sell them, and after about a month, removed them from our inventory.
They are crap, and porsche used them for 6 months on thier boxter. Got MANY complaits, and stopped using them. They use them on some other models now, but the newer ones are made specifically for the model.
In general, New car, you SHOULD get newer, better rims.
Normally, this is the time where i would direct you to our web-site, but it is down ATM, and i don't really want to sound like someone trying to push thier own products.
if i were you, i would sue G2. Not only would you win (i'd like to see them try and deny it), but then you could get a new car, new rims, AND a new/another FTO if you get a decent Settlement.

What makes it worse is the fact that the wheels WERE ON A SUZUKI! ..suzuki's arn't known for thier particular speed, and are not heavy.
If that happened on a Suzuki, Imagine what would've happened if they were on an FTO, or a Subaru..More power + more weight = more stress on Rims.

That's really bad. Glad your OK Mike.

Decent wheel makers normally x-ray all the rims before they are shipped out/put on a car to check for cracks and defects. G2 have stuffed up here on their quality control.
