Hi guys,
My new car has an aftermarket but JDM-spec head unit, and the screen has stopped working.
I wanna replace it but was wondering where I can buy an adapter so it'll fit aus head-decks (i searched, couldn't find nothing).
Cheers!
Replacing JDM head unit

I might be misunderstanding your question, but if you wanna replace the deck, you should be able to replace it with any aus unit you like...
If it's double DIN, replace it with a double DIN deck or single DIN and use a blanking plate or pocket underneath it.
The only adaptor you might need are the brackets that bolt onto the side of the deck and then screw into the console.
You can get these from Mitsi dealerships locally, they're not overly expensive.

Hmm, it sounds like you guys don't know what I'm talking about... which makes me think i'm talking crap haha.
What i meant, was that when I tried to swap the head unit for a new one, the plugs at the back wouldn't fit (the power one did, but the other one didn't) and so I thought you'd need a converter
yes / no?

It comes with it's own wiring harness with a plug on the end. this plug connects to a generic plug that common cars have that connects to the speakers. With the FTO you need a converter, that's my understanding of it anyway. As I said, I just cut the plug off the head unit and soldered the wires into the FTO ones.
