Mine were getting a pit of a stretched patch where I slide off the seat getting out the car - bit of extra foam under there to firm it up a bit and soon stopped.

pm sent,

any damage on the foam?
It sounds to me the foam on the bolster wasnt in a good condition, hence material was rubbing against the metal frame inside.
Foam damage should always be fixed before installation, otherwise this introduces not enough support, rubbing, etc..., hence excessive wear.
New installation guides I have been creating explains how to diy fixed the foam, pre-install. Will include this into FTO guide.

yeah i added foam more than enough on there..it wasnt in the guide that i used i just used common sense to add it and patch it up.
but yeah its not just the sides. its also the bottom parts where u sit down. probably cause its black. and my car is black. leavin it in the sun .. lol
maybe i should be sprayin some armor all or something to protect it a bit more

Man you really need to read the how too... there's nothing 'slip on' about them. Its all about cable ties & wire.

2nd that

before you try to put the seat covers on, go and buy a bulk pack of tip ties... speaking of that *off topic* michael, is your pod filter still held up with zip ties? o_0'

Edit: Just found your post on that. Nice! Much better than my bodge job. Worth putting that pic up in this thread for everyone?

Hehe, yeah :P maybe "slip on" wasn't the right choice of words  but what I meant was I didn't think they had a zipper on them like the stock seat covers do.. :?

lol, yeah ...had to cut them off to do some work on my "cold air box" & couldn't find any more to string it back up again, so I had to use an ockey strap temporarily but it was bouncing around too much & hitting the bonnet & I was worried about it hitting the gearbox whatsit again, so now it's back to the zip ties :P

lol
yeah they should all have zips

basically what max has done is taken the seat covers off, and used it as a template, so everything should be the same, only thing different is the meterial.
