Ive got central locking, glowing scuff plates and door chime in mine. Know the scuff plates are an option. Think the others are too (although it may be that the Aero has some of these standard). Never noticed I was missing the fold in mirrors - may have to rectify that one.
Yep, this was a downside to the GPvR in my mind. Would have liked the climate control. Started pulling apart a loom the other day to try and sort this out. Dont suppose anyone has an idea of what I would have to replace to get climate control working....... I know the loom, climate control unit and the servos on the fan for starters. What else?Wait a second, no climate control unit? You have dials

Thats really weird that later models lost it, I love my climate control and the aircon in FTO's, its the f**king strongest aircon I've ever seen. At 1 bar of fan and 17* the car gets too cold for me.
Also I don't think the door chime is a weight saving measure when its probably something coded into the electrics.
Pity about the mirrors too, thats the best gadget on the car.

You still get aircon - its the same unit. Its just operated by a button. I dont think the fold in mirrors should be too hard to sort. Ive got a loom half pulled apart already. Will just have to get those bits out as well now!

Yeah looks great Dwayne. Could you just tell me are you running 17's? If so what spring/shock combo are you running.
It's only Version R's that have manual air-con, late model GPX's still have climate control.
Also mine has a door chime and I don't mind not having electrically folding mirrors. Can always be folded manually.

Yep, they are 17's. Am running Bennoz's old setup - Apexi Lowering Springs with KYB Shocks:If so what spring/shock combo are you running

Not running the tein strut tops atm as I am happy with the hardness of the ride as it is currently. Adding the tein pillowball mounts would make a harsher ride and the road down to Batemans Bay from Canberra not the smoothest. So the pillowball mounts and a full set of Lowered King Springs are currently gathering dust in the shed.
Honestly, I cant really complain given the price. The DVD player works well and has a good picture. Sound is good (but then, it doesnt take much to keep me happy. I cant tell the difference between this and more expensive brands. The menu is a little tacky, but then I dont leave it on that anyway. Only think I havent really sorted yet is the TV channels. Havent got a decent aerial yet and not prepared to drill a hole in the roof!. I dont tend to watch TV on it anyway, so that really isnt a priority at the moment.....so how does that screen/dvd player go since you have been using it
