Returned my fto to stock and drove it...

Post by Delvance »

I recently returned my fto to stock (save for high flow cat and diffback) and took it for a spin last night...WTH ?!? Where'd the mayhem under the bonnet go ? :( i had a passenger so that would've countered the small exhaust bits...

1st gear still goes ok but damn does 2nd gear choke. I do have to admit though, it seems quite refined and definitely smooth running on stock parts. And the stocker shocks with lowered springs give no lateral strength...=/. The car just lists/rolls a lot more.

At least 1st to 2nd quickshift still gives a good wheelspin hehe.

Anyways, i'm gonna be trading my car in soon and probably going to get the competition but i hope i'm still welcome here. Would love to go on cruises with you peeps and meetups etc. There's always going to be an empty hole where the fto left now :P

Dingding!! Lol.. probably a dc5r. It'll be setup for touge once again...

I have no choice in the matter unfortunately :( problems are starting to appear and i just don't have the time nor resources to fix it, plus it's not viable.

I can see it now...massive line of FTO's cruising then some loser trailing the them in a honda hahaha.

Did you drove the car straight after all the mods are off? If so, then the ECU still need to get use to it. Drive it hard for few hundreds km then see what happen

LOL manofwood...hahaha.

Hrmm s15 nice...but hrmm, i think i'd much rather n/a power delivery...

FTO338,
Ay, i reset the ecu when i pulled off a lot of the stuff and ran it a bit afterwards before testing it. Don't get me wrong, the car still moves, but nothing like before.

Out of interest, why did you go back to the FTO robsta ? lol

Hopefully i won't buy another car just to get back in an fto. I mean...should handle better than fto and have similar straight line... i do prefer the interior of the fto though :D and i suppose the fto looks way better...oh no here we go
