Car broken into - Drivers side window :(

Post by Guni_GuGu »

Hey guys,

Yesterday, whilst working away and being extremely busy, some prick decided to smash my drivers side window and still my cd-player and new car alarm I had in the back getting ready to be installed :(

The cops arrived shortly and called me and waited until i got there... But I did have to leave some very important work and it made life hell to say the least...

Now I have to try and source a drivers side window... also the asshole tru a rock tru the window to smash it, it seems like some of the inside where the window comes up from is fairl damaged... the actual door panel from the outside seems in tack though.

Does anyone know if this needs to go to a panel beater now? or what I can do?

arr, that sucks dude.. :(
Depending how much the damage was in $$$ ... you might be better off paying the excess & have it covered by insurance (if you've got it) ... not sure if that affects your premiums or anything... it shouldn't though .. what was the CD Player worth?

If you want to sort out the interior door panel yourself you could try fixing it up yourself ... post some pics of the damage to it & we should be able to give you some advice on how to go about fixing it ... as for the replacement windows, some of the members will contact you to let you

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the replies, sorry i haven't had a chance to come back and post... it's just been way to busy with work :( and it's fuked because without this car i'm going to struggle to get to the new building in about a weeks time!!! this prick couldn't of smashed my window at a worse time..

I will be getting it looked at by a panel beater this morning, and still haven't got any quotes from o'birans or jims windows yet... but really appreciate the offers of doors and windows. I think I would love to pick one up form the community if we could organize it somehow...

Anyhow here are some pictures (more can be found at this albumphoto album:
Let me know what you guys think I need done now, given the damage is it just a window or do i need a panel beater too?
