As you probably know, the street series slotted or drilled and slotted are basically standard discs with slots & or holes machined / drilled in. The 4000 series is a much higher quality rotor.
Standard / Slotted / Gold street series
DBA 425 (Plain rotor) 276mm standard GPX replacement size
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DBA 425SL (SL = Slotted Left) 276mm GPX replacement size
DBA 425SR (SR = Slotted Right) 276mm GPX replacement size
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DBA 425X (X = Cross drilled and slotted) 276mm GPX replacement size (Note: this rotor is not left or right sided, it will fit on both)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4000 series (A much more premium rotor)
DBA 4425SL (SL = Slotted Left) 276mm GPX replacement size
DBA 4425SR (SR = Slotted Right) 276mm GPX replacement size
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DBA 4425XS (XS = Premium cross drilled and slotted) 276mm GPX replacement size (Note: this rotor is not left or right sided, it will fit on both)

Someone requested pics of DBA rotors.
Below are some rotors (front) I just recently purchased for a GPX and I am in the process of doing a HUGE DIY write-up on refurbishing and painting calipers, and installing new brake lines and rotors.
The two additional photos are just a teaser to my write-up !!

cheers
Tom

I am running the slotted rotors on the front with the EBC green stuff. Payed $200 all up. Not shore if the rotors are DBA i know the rotors where for a magna.
Still waiting to do the back ones.
Cannot wait for that HUGE DIY write-up on refurbishing and painting calipers as the last oner of my car stuffed the paint job up.

I have slotteds (4425s) and am very happy with them. From what I know some say the slotted a better performance and will expel gases and heat very efficiently if you are going to be using your brakes heavily. ie most race cars I know of have slotted rotors.
Get cross drilled rotors (4425xs) if you more after looks. Because of the holes drilled through them I have heard that this makes them more prone to cracking and warping under heavy braking.
Although when I got mine this flew in the face of what was on the DBA website. Still I think I'd trust more of what I know from being around race cars for heavy braking

If the units are cast with the holes in them (which the DBA 4000 series are) then you shouldn't have any cracking problems (think Porsche brakes) but if they are drilled after casting, then the heat from drilling can change the metal properties around the holes (weakens it) & yes the can become prone to getting hairline fractures heading out from the hole itself.
