Rice It Up?

Okay I was very curious and I came across two ricey modifications.

Electric Superchargers
C02 Air Cooler thingo (aerodynamic cooling bulb)

Now I know you don't hear much of them (or anything at all) and when I did search them I found this

Electric Superchargers do force more air in but because its compressing it it makes it hotter and needs to be driven off engine so can make less power. and the cooling bulb would restrict some airflow but cool air at same time.

Opinions anyone? Has anyone tried both either or know anyone that has just thought i'd look into some random mods and see what people think

I don't know where you search, but there are plenty of threads/posts in this forum on electric supercharge already.

Like mr-charisma, just do NOS if you want quick fix. Why waste your money on these pissy little 1-3psi electric superchargers for? Ever thought about how much load will it put on your alternatior?

With the cooling bulb, it doesn't matter how cold the air going to be, your fuel/air mixture will be all over the place, as there isn't enough air to mix with. Is basically like strangle someone’s throat but at the same time feeding him or her with pure oxygen using a pin straw.

the CO2 systems can do more than that, you can set up cold rials alongside the fuel rails or probably even set a few of them up next to your intake pipe, and they have intercooler fogger systems too, not that they really matter here.
the superchargers are a crock of sh*t, a fan cannot compress air, plain and simple. thats all they are. at the most, they might help with scavenging. they are a *~delightful!~* waste of time, money and thought

There was a cryo intake pipe I saw a year or two ago which would have been fine for 1/4 mile stuff etc. Basically the intake pipe had a box around it which you fired compressed CO2 into to get dry ice and it cooled the air on the way in. It looked like it would only last a short period, hence I though it only any good for 1/4 mile etc.

But as usual, plenty of prommises with it and no verified results.
