Limp Mode. can i just change the Oil to fix it?

Hey guys i'm begging to think it wasn't my battery that blow up...
any ideas on what might be the problem?
list of things that was going wrong

1. bad idle when in first gear (auto car) my car would almost like bog forward

2. car would randomly get stuck on 3rd gear and then won't be able to change up or down... until i turn the car off then on

3. i constantly pulled over to check my car but all seemed fine..

4. after about 20mins of driving i finally got home and light smoke was coming out of the bonnet... checked under the bonnet and their was black substance all under my bonnet (Above my battery) but only around that area... it was pretty damn messy....

5.it is a very old battery

Any ideas?

the car sounds like its going into limp mode, do a search

Get yourself down to Joe & Ricks ... On the back of a truck if you have to... if theres any damage caused by the accident give your insurance Co. a call & let them know it needs to be fixed. Use Joe & Ricks as the place to fix it!

change your battery... hopefully like mine you still dont have the stock battery

and get joe & ricks to look at it lol maybe one or more of your spark plugs have had it?

Ok i haven't read any where about black stuff (oil prob) coming out all over the place does any one know why that would happen????

but i do think its to do with the limp mode.

But after a bit of research i think it may just be my auto transition fluid. (hoping)
so i'm going to be changing the oil my self. and i probably suggest other tip users to do the same. Yang, Michael you interested

I have had this bog forward thing to when i got the auto transition fluid changed.

How to fix it just add more oil to it get it above the line and all good.

yeah thats what i was going to do.

but WHY DID IT EXPLODED IN MY CAR!!!!????!?!?!??!?!??!?

If your gear box has went into limp mode it will have stored the error codes of why it did so.

Run a diagnostic check and it will tel you what went wrong.

Ok got the error messages my Tip Oil was getting to hot. but i think it over heated and then went every where in my car.
where can i find the location of where the oil would of came out from? so i can check if it was my Tip Oil that went all over the place.

And would changing fresh new oil fix the problem? because the old oil was very dark....
