wanted to know if its worth it getting a metal cat (performance wise), and if 200 cells per inch for a 2.5" cat is good enough for FTO

normally you get a cat when you do the hole exhaust upgrade. and 2.5 is the highest you want with a FTO.

I've just been looking all this up myself & from what I've read, 200cpi is standard for a high flow cat, anything less is considered a 'race cat' e.g. 100cpi ... so 200cpi should be adequate for a street FTO ...

Definitely get a metal cat over a ceramic one ... ceramic cores tend to break

A standard Magnaflow metal cat is (apparently) rated at about 500CFM (cubic feet per metre) and if you want a Cat with a better flow rate, you can expect to pay a lot more for it.

i chased it up just then, that the cheapest by nearly $200, and magnaflow are pretty much the best in the US. thats on my fun list now...

Would there be any sort of power rises though through the use of these metal cats or any other benefits as it is a lot of money to spend on a cat and a exhaust system if there are no benefits other than sound to be had.

stock cat is restrictive, get a new high flow one. It should be the first thing on everyones mod list.

whatever tiggles your fancy. The GPX stock brakes are good enough for standard street driving. New set of pads and some dot 4 fluid and your set.

On that note I went for a twisty crusie today and found my pads to be holding up really well
