Post by oneian »

hi all.. there's two after market "mitsubishi motors" gauges above the centre console.. the vaccum one works just fine, however the engine temp gauge just sits at zero :(
Only when i switch the engine off, the needle jumps up for a bit..almost sparking to life, but then, nothing.
any ideas/help please!!? am useless with electrics.. aaah.

Maybe the temp sensor is faulty ... Is it a sensor that is plugged in through the sump plug ... ???

The sender unit is a single wired plug that sits just below the coolant cap. Check the wire is connected properly there.
