Hot to remove battery from engine bay to boot

Hi, i have a cold air intake kit but i need to remove the battery and place it in the boot. What kind of wires would i need to extend the battery wires and how will i hold the battery in place in the boot? I have heaps of 8g Amp wire and the price for proper battery wire is $11 a metre. I need at least 6-7 metres so yeah mite end up being pricy! Help!

i wouldnt go any thinner than 4gauge amp wiring

where did you see it for $11 a metre? You might find it cheaper in JayCar, not sure though...

This has been covered a few times. Has to be fused 2 gauge wire.

Also has to be a sealed battery.

Yeah i thought 8 gauge was too thin. I found it at Supercheap auto's the battery wire that is. What do you mean by "sealed battery"? So you cant use the same battery as standard?

What do you mean by sealed battery? Cant we use the stock battery?

normal battery's give off a toxic fume, and since the boot is connected to the cabin and basically sealed otherwise... u'll get the fumes in your car.
and sealed batteries dont give off the fume

ahh i see. It looks like it wont be as easy of a job as it seems! Ive got a mate who is an electrical engineer who could do it up for me but i think i'll just get a 90 degree bend flexible pipe and attach the aluminium intake piping to that! coz the one i have is a wider 70-80 degree bend and hence it hits the battery!
