If you can't dazzle them with dexterity, baffle them with bull...

I personally want to put blue ones, so once you put this DIY up I can try it out.

Ok - just tried the white ones. Pretty rubbish! The display doesn't seem to like that colour for some reason...
Did however take the oppertunity while swapping back to amber, to disable the AC display dimming while the headlights are on:
1. Cut the Green wire with the white stripe, the 2nd wire in on the smaller plug on the back of the aircon unit. (Downside of this is it kills the outer 2 bulbs for the AC buttons. Soooo....)
2. Bend the legs of your outer 2 bulbs up, and wire them in parellel to the central screen leds.
A little bit like this:

EDIT: DEC 07
After all that, have ended up changing back to the standard bulbs - just not worth it in my opinion! It's a lot of work, for not much reward.

4 bulbs... 2 for the screen, 2 bulbs for the buttons.
I ended up going back to the old bulbs for the screen in the end after all that. The white's just didn't have enough definition to see the screen propperly. Let us know how you get on though!
