I think the GTA only comes in automatic? and can have a nicer interior / smaller wing / etc etc.
Can you get the leather options in the GSR?
no recaros, no bonnet vent, smaller wing
but nicer interior dash usually with GPS (only JAP though)
buy GSR, leather is rare in jap...
i got leather recaro option for front and back when i bought mine brand new

When you get the Evo ... (and mine is back on the streets) you will have to come down for a cruise ... (or me go up there) ... Mine is only an Evo III (well actually a GSR shell with Evo upgrade) ... But I have lost count of how much cash I have thrown under the hood ... I think all up, I have spent upwards of 15G's ... (including labour) ... It was things like ...
New Coils & custom leads
EMS 8860 ECU
Garret GT30
Hyper**** (hyper something) intake
Large front mount
Full rebuild with forged internals
ARP head bolts
Had to get a new crank also
larger injectors
Walbro fuel pump
Gee.. What else ....

in regards to sevicing cost......dont even think u'll get away with it...
service EVERY 5000KM
engine oil service cost about $130
then...theres...
front and rear diff oil
AYC oil
gearbox oil
brake fluid
EVERY 10000km
cost about $700 to change it all...AYC needs special machine to flush
now...evos CHEW through stock rotors so think of replacing them at about 15000km
ALSO, tyres wear out HEAPS QUICK!!! thanks to AWD ! about 20000km
if u launch it...dont even think about 13000km...i've gone through THREE SETS
petrol...daily rev UNDER 4k...change at 3k gear...about 380km per tank 50L
with boost i get about 250...this is NOT redline reving...just little squirts
on wakefield fullon, i did about 160-180km per tank!
and insurance...$3800

The GTA auto is hardly weak, the UK boys have FQ400 ball bearing turbos they are running 400bhp... Mine is at around 180Kw at the wheels but just bought an EVO 9 Turbo for it.
Hoping to get around 220 at the wheels with the intercooler piping changed as they are pretty restrictive and are steel as they wanted to keep the noise down for some reason haha
