Tis just a GR with a heap of kays on it.... and some sh*tty wiring in the engine bay.
Mine was a proper Ralliart job - done by Ralliart Hong Kong. Noticable differences is the sticker on the ass, mine is a proper manufacurer vinyl thats stuck on harder than the bloody Misubishi sticker - as opposed to that sticker there which comes in the Autosalon showbag. They also came with strut braces as standard from Ralliart.

So.....
So..... tell me Bennoz (because if anyone knows, you will)
Is there an official ralliart edition recognised by Mitsubishi, or was it some kind of aftermarket promotion by ralliart or what. Really would like to know this as there seems to be some confusion around this topic.

Nope, none officially recognised by Mitsubishi. My car was one a of a handful of guinea pigs. The plan was to sell the hot versions locally, much like HSV are to Holden here. There was not enough interest & the project was dropped mainly because they were only doing it to non-mivecs & most buyers just went for the Mivec. All the guinea pig cars were sold off locally, some stayed local & few were exported - mine being of those.
There is more confusion with the ones in the UK, as they were offically sold by Ralliart UK eventually. The UK chapter of Ralliart saw an opportunity to make some money when they saw the volume of grey imported FTO's coming in. When that happened, the cars in the UK became offically recognised by Mitsubish. Hence the reason Poms dont pay extortionate 'grey import' prices from Mitsubishi UK.
Also, those cars sold by Ralliart UK were not 'modified' by Ralliart. They were just normal FTO's with stickers...

I just sent an email to him asking about this and this is what he said:-
"Mitsubishi never actually brought out a line of Ralliart FTO's. I purchased this one under the knowledge that it was given to (when new) to a high performance workshop, specializing in Ralliart modifications, in a joint promotional venture."
so in a way yes his add is a bit misleading.
I just hope that it gos very cheep for the byer that way they dont get stung to much.

Popular Opinion
Amazing what happens when you get pummelled by popular opinion. Bit of a reversal on the response I initially got.
