correct me if I'm wrong, but is that not going to heat up then peel like a mutha???
i did look in to this befor buying the paint
the flat black paint =heat resistant to- 120 c
red metallic = heat resistant to- 120 c
blue matallic = heat resistant to- 230 c
satin clear acryllic = heat resistant to-150 c
i doult my engine will get to 120 c ? but if it dose peel ill let you no and ill try some thing elce

you know what, in the short time i've owned the car, i've never touched the cover, and assumed like all my other cars (the fto being the newest one) that it was a metal cover, and i know you need heat resistant like brake caliper paint for that, as it will flake up soon as you leave the engine for 5 mins.
fair enough, looks the good man, might try the vr4 arrangement with a silver cover and red, black lettering one day.

If it were mine, I would of just done the Letters in "MIVEC V6 etc." in the red .. And the Mitsubishi letters, and lines in blue ... Maybe even the logo in the blue too ... Or the logo in Red ...
