Any air fuel controller (like the SAFC) once tuned should improve your mileage but yours seems excessive. Might help if you gave some more info....
- what type of FTO
what modifications do you have
- what fuel do you use
As a first resort I'd say replace the fuel filter if you haven't done so recently, and reset the ECU. Make sure you use premium fuel (min 95 RON, most would use 98 I reckon).
SAFC is perfect. There are substitutes depending on how far you want to work with your car (Apexi NEO is a newer version, Greddy E-Manage, etc).
theres a post - that covers my experience with it. Could not tell you in relation to fuel to be honest. I never assumed that it would save me fuel though..... I always thought power gains meant it would be less economical.
