Dunno if this has been discussed before but thought I'd see what peoples thoughts are.
I've been offered a 2.5L, twin turbo engine out of a Gallant for $2200. Being that I don't have that sort of money laying around I didn't pursue anymore info on it but was assured the engine just "bolts right in to an FTO". On the surface, this sounds like a really cool idea and according to two people I've spoken to, would make my FTO an EVO killer (assuming I could get traction) which would make my day considering that's what my brother has just bought
yeah, big conversion, it has the same mounts etc, however the twin turbo setup wont fit, requiring either a custom manifold to be made up, etc, (like Jeffs) or use the original manifold and spend $6k on piping (like adam)
Both are spastic quick.
Both took well over a year,
Both spent over $26k
Personally i wouldnt bother... For $26k, you can buy a damn quick skyline.
and keep the fto as a daily.
But, if you want to be different, theres not much quicker than a 6a13tt powered FTO.
If you need good deal on photography, let me know.
Just finsihed on the phone to Adam as well... He's starting to think very seriously about this AWD conversion now.. and 22psi..
He's already got the gearbox and everything. And has lined up a galant Diff... got cuotes on custom exhaust, driveshaft and drop tank...
i worry about him...

its not
the engine conversion is 15k at most . Its the rest that needs to be done that will cost u the another 15k. However if u run reasonable power...u dont need to do all the crazy stuff that was done by some others.
