Post by jakey106 »

UAS used to do polyurethane engine mounts (which dont break like the standard mounts). Not sure if they still do or not!

Hey Sam, are you looking at getting a set of their extractors (im toying with the idea) and if so, is it worth considering doing a group thing on that too?

Have been told by a few people that extractors arent overly neccesary with a turbo setup? I dont know why this is, but meh...

Will talk to them this arvo after work (thank you for time difference!)

If you want to throw a set of extractors into the mix and see what $ value falls out the other side, that would be great :D .

Keep in mind most poly engine mount suppliers do them on an exchange basis....

Ive got at least one full set of mounts lying around. Not keen to sell them to go straight into the car as I dont know what condition they are in.

Has anyone actully driven a car with poly engine mounts?

I replaced them in my gsr lancer with poly units and the vibration/harshness was unbearable!

I gt mine made for about $60 at a place in cheltenham - forget what it was called now. That was about 4 years ago though

^^ Indeed. I'd only be replacing the lower 2 in poly if any. Does give nice throttle response thou.

I had a set made (supplying my originals) by noltec. Was about $80 a bush from memory.

Yep, but only one (at back of engine). Didnt seem to make much of a difference from a vibration perspective.

They just did an exchange with my existing mount.

            Hi guys,

looks like my engine mounts both North and south are gone...

Does anyone know how much the OEM ones are?
            - the UAS polys are 220 each exchange, which sounds like a rip off.

Bennoz, which noltec store/place did you goto to get your Engine mount made

            thanks a heap

ps- im back in sydney for this week, so gotta get all my fto stuff done.
