and why can't i find such a deal like youspetz wrote:I think it would be a lot cheaper than that.
The mechanic who did my conversion (6A12 MIVEC into lancer) had an evo V engine sitting there as well, it was my choice which one I wanted (I chose the MIVEC obviously).
Cost wise it was $8000 for both, but with the evo engine I had to supply an intercooler and pay for the piping. Otherwise no difference. So roughly 9K for the conversion, plus I am sure he would give a couple of grand for the old V6 MIVEC engine from an FTO to put an evo engine in.
This was with FTO seats, climate control, evo brakes, new clutch etc etc. If you look hard... you will find a good mechanic at a good price

Well i was running 5 psi... and after 2 months or so the rings started letting go... a month late they went all together..
And there was everything to back it up too... 500hp walbro pump, 390cc injectors, Microtec LT-10s, Turbosmart boost controller, Turbosmart PB BOV, Wastegate, 600*300*85 IC etc etc... However no engine work done... std compression etc etc...
interested though on what you ghuys thing my new engine can take... As above but:
- 6a12 Non-Mivec
- Bored and Honed Block
- Blueprinted
- Balanced
- Block Decked
- Crank Tunnel, Tunnel Honed
- Rocker Cover to Sump Pan
- ARP Head Stud Kit
- New core plugs, gaskets, seals
- CP Forged Pistons/Rods with a 9:1 CR and solid USA Rings
- 6A13 DOHC Turbo Spec Cams
- Lightweight Flywheel
- 3 Inch Highflow Exhaust
- Sports Organic Clutch
This is all next to a GT-28 Garrett Turbo... I've been told the turbo could prob take up to 16-18 psi...
I would love to run either 14 or 16 psi... What do you guys think?
3 months away... I cant wait...
