theres been a tradgic death in the johnstone family with the popular juanita pronounced hwanita if u dont know mitsubishi fto gs.

how it happened well i was travelling behind a mate to go to a party in rural hastings when he shot off way ahead of me he is a local and travels the road every day after all . i get dazed n a little confused trying to find where he went . but i found him all good we headed off again i followed him but again the prick hooned off leaving me folow my nose. i came across a gentle right hand corner and continued around it at about 95 kmh there was no white line or reflectors or side markers. the road then went down a crest sharp right a nd then sharp left. because the road went below the beams of my headlights the road "dissapeared" briefly so i continued the angle the corner was previuosly going once my head lights were facing at the angle of the road a grassy margin appeared in front of me i steered as much as i could to the right before hitting the grass which would have spun me outi am now doing about 90kmh my left wheel goes on the grass and lock up under light braking which i was trying to avoid the car pulls to left i flick it back onto the tarseal and all four wheels lock up under heavy breaking i lost steering and couldnt unlock the brakes f**k i thought as a bank appears infront of me i hit the bank on an angle <approx> 70kmh and this causes the car to ride up the bank a bit. the car stops and im thinking well that wasnt so bad but then it slowly rolled onto its roof and stayed there thats where all the damage happened. got out the car without a scratch car is deffinatly doing 0kmh lol . so now am thinking i mite try convert the car into a track day car for racing at pukukohe etc.

At least you're ok & have a sense of humour about it .... But sh*t dude .... pretty serious stuff, you're very lucky not to have any injuries :S What did your friend do when he found out?

Lot of accidents happen when more experienced drivers (or knowledgeable of road/area) speed off ahead of someone who isn't as lucky. The silly sods try to keep up and bam, sh*t happens like that.

Glad to hear everyones ok - hopefully some other people learn a few lessons without doing so themselves.

1) Don't drive fast on unknown roads.
2) Don't put your mates in that situation
3) If your mate shoots off ahead like a loon, don't try to keep up.

It's not like a computer game, once your cars crashed... it's over red rover.

Not having a go at anyone... but too many kids and NFS syndrome.

I AM STREET RACER DRIFT KING CHAMPION... or something

Once again I'd like to say, really glad no one was hurt. There's nothing more depressing then someone doing something stupid, crashing and killing a mate. That'd be a nice thing to live with the rest of your days.

well helo to everybody who has read my epic tale lol . i would like to clear things up.
1- 100kmh is the speed limit i was doing the speed limit and was not trying to catch up im not that stupid i grew up on country roads.
2- i am 19 years old but that doesnt make me inexperienced! i have been driving since i was 8 i grew up on a farm ive prob driven more varieties of vehicles and in more extreme conditions than most do in a lifetime.
3- i am taking the parts out . engine etc. and putting them into a sylva stryker chasis for purpose track racing. for those that dont know what that is it looks like a lotus seven replica.

and last of all thanks for your concern much appreciated.
