Oil coolers are generic & can be fitted to just about any engine. Flea bay is the best bet for a bargain:

The one in the link there is a 19 row, which is probably a bit much for your purposes, you'll end up running the oil below temp. Have a scratch around for a 13 or 16 row one.

smorison made his own oil cooler set up. If you search these very pages carefully you should find it. It was well over a year ago though.

i would really think, do i really need one? 8O
rather spend the money on something else ...
The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.

If you're using your car on a track, you probably need an oil cooler. It will pay for itself soon enough if you consider the need to change the oil every time you cook it!

Put an oil temp gauge on your car - if the temp gets over 115 or so the oil is basically destroyed and needs to be changed. Or so I have been told by people who know these things.

Is why I have two..... :D I doubt road use gets the standard FTO oil hot enough to need one, but with a turbo or similar mods an oil cooler may be needed even on the road.

I noticed on the Brands track day I did back in Feb that my oil temp was running near the 120c mark, mind you that was after 10 laps of the club circuit none stop and at pretty much over 6k all the way usual road temp is around 90 when warm and giving some short blasts.

Not sure how accurate the gauge is the TBH. But I used silkylene ProS 5w40 on that stint so the oil is good. Going to change it soon mind. as it's done the one Brands track day and about 1500~2000miles on the road.
