The D2S->H1 conversion on your lights is something that's pretty much only done by compliance workshops for the purposes of importing. No car will have the parts as is ready to go unless they had a wrecked import which had a similar conversion done.

However, as I've said before it's something which should be pretty easy for any autoelectrician to fix up if yours has been done improperly aren't working properly.

ya i called my auto elec. going in to see him in a couple days.

i didnt realise it was apart of complaince.. thought it was just a suggestion - thought it was possible for later models to have this H1 setup as stock. I guess if worst comes to worse i can call the old compliance shop up :)

If i got a HID conversion would this solve the problem entirley???

I'd actually try the compliance workshop first see if you can get them to fix it up for free. Tell them it stuffed up :D

Just out of curiousity, how do you find the performance of the lights in the dark or when it's raining? In my experience with Skylines with the same conversion, night time vision is really awful (and sometimes bordering on dangerous) compared to the standard equivalent lights.
