White 98 Mitsubishi FTO MIVEC V6 GP Automatic

Post by msinosic »

Hello All,

Unfortunately its time for me to upgrade (downgrade some might say) to a larger car (don't say the word family!) which means that I must part with my FTO.

I have been out of the loop for a while in regards to prices and feel this is the best place to get an honest opinion on pricing. I am asking for your help to set a value that properly reflects my car as there does not seem to be too many 98's around that I can compare against.

My car can be seen here in this article (from way back when, pictures are still relevant) http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_0841/article.html

Some things not stated in the artcile are as follows;

75000kms
Registered last month + service.
2 New front tyres.
Sony Explode MP3 Stereo system.
Heads up display.
Garaged every night.
Alarm/Immobiliser.

Thank for your time,

Sino ... =)

It seems that modification even though a few grand worth dont seem to affect the price anymore these days?

It is almost as if they should be stripped out =(

    Thanks for all the information.

Modification don't mean anything these days, in some cases, it even bring the value of a car down.

    Still for Sale

    Post by msinosic »

This FTO is still for sale!

Any reasonable offer will be accepted. I have been loath to part with it for an agreed value but the time has come and I really need a quick sale to purchase a larger, more practicle car for my current needs.

Current listed price is offers from $12,990.

Please do not hesitate to contact me via email at msinosic@ihug.com.au or via mobile 0416 186012.

    Thanks,

    Mark ... =)

    I don't have a pink slip.

The car was recently taken in for a scan check on all the electrical components. No errors were reported.

The reason I did this was due to a 'loose' connection on the
battery terminal causing odd quirks (I did not know it was loose at the time). These odd quirks were picked up by a previous potential buyers complete vehicle inspection. It spooked him enough to not buy it so that is when I put the car in for a check fearing that some electrical component was damaged.

Had I fixed the battery terminal in the first place the car would of been sold for just under 14k. Hind-sight eh?

what would be needed for it get get pink slipped? only reason i ask is because with rego running out soonish, i'd want to make sure it can be re-registered with no issues.

    I don't get it?

I think the best thing is for you to have a look at the car and see if you like it. Following that if you are still interested and we have an agreed price, I can get a pink slip. When the pink slip comes back positive we can all be happy!

    How does that sound? =)

i think he thinks you're related to elvis sinosic, the mixed martial artist/kick boxer. which if you are, thats awesome..

sounds like an idea to me, i'd be interested in coming out and having a look in the new year (if its still available)

I thought as much. I have never met Elvis and I do not know what the connection is in the family tree but I am pretty sure his ancestors would of come from the same village in Istria, Croatia as mine did. Let's all go for kick boxing lessons! ;)

Give me a ring in the new year when you are interested in coming out to have a look. I will not be around Sydney till the second weekend back in January.

    Talk to you then.

Offers around $12k cash will not be refused this weekend only.

Unfortunately for me I can not wait any longer and my car must be sold in a week or two or it will be relegated to the outside to make way for a new car in a new location.

FYI registration is due soon and I would recommend its time for a new battery. Apart from that only TLC is required. I simply do not have the time.

    Thanks,

    Mark
