I dunno how I missed this topic, but anyway.

Well done mate! Looks awesome, very clean and nice. At least the guy who had it tried to colour scheme the car, white gear knob, rims, etc instead of random parts everywhere. Looks brand new, too. :D

Oh and for everyone, I took his previous FTO. Now he can update his avatar with his new one.

F'in aye bro, that sucker looks mint. GPvR's rare where you from?
Sorry, misread that the first time. Ive only seen one and its currently for sale in the for sale section at the moment (1997 with 109000km and a new engine rebuild). Up until recently, there were very few FTO's here, but I see more now (since they can bring them in again now). Having said that, ive never seen an Aero before anywhere.
Who's going to comply your car?
I have a friend in the game......
Although, Please don't tell us that you bought it for parts!!!!!!?
lol, Hey, now thats a little unfair :D
I took his previous FTO. Now he can update his avatar with his new one.
 Yes, ive been meaning to update that (+ the photo collection on CompleteTO)

[edit]changed! :D [/edit]

    Research

    Post by dstocks »

Been watching the auction sites for 6 months for this one (pretty much every day). I have been doing a lot of comparisons between different models and options and in the end, decided on going for one of these. I will publish my findings on CompleteFTO soon (still an excel spreadsheet at the moment. The compliance wont cost me much as I have a friend that does it, but the shipping and other fees still have to on top of that figure.

I was a bit surprised by that too, but thats the second time this has happened to me, so I guess I shouldnt have been.

 The sad thing about that is that under most circumstances she would have been right! .

Thanks for sorting that though, I was copping a bit of pressure to make that happen before the long weekend.

          Bonnet Clips

          Post by dstocks »

They would be bonnet clips. Hold the bonnet down most of the time when they are installed. That either means that they were installed for the look or maybe its a carbon fibre bonnet. Dont know which yet. Dont really like them myself, so maybe ill get rid of them. Have to see what the story is when I get the car

Auction sheet should mention if it's CF/FG...hopefully.

Only reason you'd put pins on a stock bonnet really is if the car was doing a bit of track time and you wanted/needed a secondary catch.. or the dude was a ricer :)

            ricer...

u'd just use form rope/ties for a secondary bonnet restraint on a stockie...
