Stolen - my GSXR. :(

Post by boarsai »

Before anyone asks, yes it was insured... but it's a major pain in my arse.

Somewhere between midnight and mid-morning (I presume) some bastard/s came into our "secure" (read: the gate is up and broken often, as it was this w/e) carpark and stole my blue 04 GSXR600 Suzuki.

I'd only just listed it for sale.. and no, no one had even been round to see it or knew where it was located. Some bastard wanted to swap me an 84 VK commodore for it!!! The cheek!

Anyway... now the cops have me running around fetching the survelience footage of the carpark/complex... what exactly is it the police actually do? Here I was thinking that THEY might come out and look at the place?!! and you know do some work?

Actually I'm extremely cynical... I thought they'd be closed and be off at dunkin' doughnuts ;) heh

*sigh*

I am curious though... is that my duty? to fetch all the evidence?!

Not as though I have a job or anything to go to... is it. :S

Really don't need this happening right about now :(

Edit: blue/white bike with plates: WX717... let me know if you see it about :( It's all stock... altho has a mod plate on the frame for single seat rego. Not that I imagine anyone will... but yu never know.

it would be cool if karma got the bloke and he stacked it on the highway and then ran over and his spine snapped

but that would mean the bike would've been scratched and stuff :(

maybe he rode into a big pile of hay and the bike came to a complete stop in another big pile of hey and fell over onto a large piece of microfibre cloth ontop of a big spunge. and the guy died from a sudden attack of hay fever.

You really need to drink less mate...

Did the insurance cover it for the amount you wanted to sell it for?

I believe in fairy winkles, don't you, don't you!? Er I mean Karma... god I hope it smacks them up good, all 4 of them.

Borep, if it comes back damaged... insurance will fix it, if it comes back a repairable write off, they'll give me money and take the carcass.

Sam, insurance will cover (and more) the price I was selling it for, I was just going to offload it for a bit under 9k if someone had the cash on the day.

I want it back... as I ahte pricks that steal and what not... but I don't want it back as it's worth more stolen? o_0

In an ideal world, the bastards would write it off, end up in hospital in much pain with the police taking their names and myself getting my insurance money. hehe

I just wanted cash fast though, don't want to wait a month or so for police to do their investigation... and the insurance to drag their feet along the ground every step of the way.

Would rather sell the bike to nice bloke then to have to deal with all this atm. Ah well!

Such is life

After 14 days doesn't the insurance company consider it 'lost'? I don't know I could be wrong though.

U need to stop sniffing the Ajax :D

anyway, sorry to hear it man, hope u find it. I mean it's their job to do everything but well.. u cant push them, cos they'll only do what they feel like doing.. not like u can report them to anybody for not doing their job.
all the best!

Yeah a detective rang me up yesterday and actually organised for them to get the CCTV footage and such. Actually told me stuff that was relevant and interesting rather then just "please fill out this form".

Apparently there's a few bikes getting nicked... I presume due to ease of steal-ability. Which apparently the gixxer is. Pretty annoying, awesome bike otherwise. Loved mine, don't want some random @$#@ riding it around ...

edit:

Forgot to mention... I'd just had it at the dealership for it's 30,000km service a week or two before my bike got stolen!

What a waste of money! Some bitch is out there enjoying my fresh rubber!!!! waste of 6-700 $ What bad timing !

I'd prefer women that didn't induce burning in my nether regions.

You might want to go to a doctor to sort that Chlamydia out
