Lightweight wheels

Alrighty kids, Im looking for a set of track day rims that I can put some semis on. Whats your favourite or most recommended lightweight rims you reckon I should go for. Currently have fancy rims but they weigh a ton... Im looking for Buddyclub/Enkei/Volk etc type brands. Must be available in either 17 or 18 inch (I cant fit 16s round my brakes

)

And put up some pics if you got 'em.

Crono series seems to be very light, but expensive I guess.
Ultraleggera, 17"x7 = 7.2kgs

I'm also looking for a set of track rims.

Forged is the way to go, Rays have some good ones. like the TE37 series

Another option are Work CR-Kai's are quite cheap these days.

I have my Work XT7s on my r33 which are light weight and I'm veryr happy with them but I have them just for street.

i'm prob gonna get some Rays TE37s.

Used to have Buddy Club P1s on the old 'line. They is teh hotness.

Enkeis are pretty well priced for a lightweight wheel.

Ben depending on your price range might be worth trying to bring across a used set from JP...

LOL This is the FTO forum yes? 18 x 9's with a 40 offset on the front & 18 x 10 with a 45 offset on the rear might not fit lol.

Gotta try & cut out the middle man on this purchase. Is there a Jap Ebay??

Give these guys a go (below), tell them you from the FTO Club, and they should look after you, i got him to put up a FTO page in his site 2yrs ago.

I got lots of parts from them before, so they are very trust worthy.

It's not actually that hard to navigate. This is the link to the rims section:

You'll see on the left a listing of the different wheel sizes. Say I clicked on the 17 inch category:

Next page: the "4,5,6" categories refer to the stud pattern. Underneath each, there are two more subcategories. The first is for OEM wheels, the second (which is what you are looking for) - aftermarket rim suppliers.

Usually there's a mix of new and used parts on Yahoo. The used ones are the ones to go for, since you can usually find other suppliers who can pick up new rims for cheaper prices than on Yahoo.

hey thats cool....had some good stuff. but the prices not that much better than the prices I have for the rims I'm looking at.

Yeah like I said if you want new rims you can get them cheaper elsewhere. Yahoo is pretty good for secondhand parts though.

Getting some Giemax M126's tomorrow, 17x8, +35, black...for a black car ~$1380 for a set of 4.. not really that cheap but they're what i want and not too expensive. actually what i wanted was the m111's but they're only +42 offset, 17x7.

The Volk/Rays CE28n are generally regarded as being the lightest rims around. They'll also lighten your wallet very easily too. Smallest size in 17" is 17 x 7.5 IIRC.

The Advan RG series are considered one of the lightest non-forged rims around, and are lighter than some forged rims. Strength might be a problem however.

I'm using the Dunlop Direzza RZF. They weighed in at under 7kg a wheel for a 17 x 7. Not the lightest, but decent.
