The only thing that weighs much is the deadner. the sub is very light etc.
and its mainly the doors that are deadned. beside my CF bonnet is only about 3-4kg (no sure what std is) and my battery is in the boot now( Transfered weight from the front) as well as my 18's are about half the weight of stockies.
So i spose everything considered im actually a tad lighter than stock...

Lol.. I'll take pics but its all function... looks like crap. Its built to be removable for track work. So i basically i have all the amps and the sub mounted to a single piece of wood. so all i do is disconect wires and take the board out. but theres still a fair amount of room in there.

So back to my original questions, is it hard to get engine cert? What is require other then brakes? 8O
The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.

$150. gets done next week. I figure the less defects the better.. No way around CF bonnet.. Would love to eng. it though.. Engineer did ask if the brakes were upgraded but i pointed out that GPXs have bigger brakes from standard.. and he said that might do the trick but has to look at it. I do want bigger brakes anyway though... just cant afford em at the moment.

BTW: Gets tuned tomorow. will be tuned at 5 and 7 psi for now. Expecting a low KW for now. 2.5" exhaust is very restrictive. 3 inch goes on in a week or so. Just bought a dual stage Turbosmart boost controller and blitz turbo timer. Also looking at sourcing a SAFCII. I like to know whats going on in my now $10,000 engine. As well as looking at possibly Rebuild + Forgies (also lower compression down to 8.5:1). So might be able to bump up boost to around 14psi+ or so after a fuel pump upgrade. At least i know the Intercooler, exhaust, Engine Management, etc is all good enough to handle it.. As well as the GT-28 should be fine up to around 18psi i think.

But for now i'd be happy to rev past 4,000rpm. Which i will be doing on wednesday. muhahaha... also move into my unit on saturday so internet here i come!!!

Okay I left my car there this morning.. They said to park it in the driveway and leave the keys on the drivers side wheel... they assured me it was safe..

Now i did that and tentitvely left for work.

I called them around 11am this morning. the conversation went something like this.

Me: Hello this is sam, i dropped my FTO off this morning.
Chick: ahh yes hi sam... uhh.. are you sure? i didnt see anything in the driveway??
Yes its right out the front..
Ummmm... well it wasnt there when i got in this morning...

silence

more silence

involuntary bowel movement...

Chick on other end: Nahhhh just jokin its here

me: silence

chick: hello?

then i went on about a heart attack etc etc

Very frightening for a second... anyway at least its getting the microtec, 390cc injectors, turbo timer and boost controller put in today... then tuning tomorow... cant wait.. Should even have a video for everyone to look at. So stay tuned... (just like i am) hahahahaa s**t im funny.... and bored. lol

Damn. another call from tuners.. aparently Microtech sent the wrong unit and it doesnt work with the crank angle sensor or something? they said that one model of GPX came out with a Distributer but mine has coil packs??? i thought all had coil packs unless they're refering to the GS??
oh well.. Its getting sent back today.. microtec get the unit tomorow and send back tomorow. then hopefully arrives on friday. worst case monday... which means i get the car back either fri/sat or mon/tue... more delays... arrrrrgghhhh!! I'm so impatient.
