Annoying Cigarette lighter position

I don't know if anyone has noticed but on my manual fto, when i try putting in my car mobile phone or PDA charger into the ciggy lighter , the charger plug protrudes too much out and its annoying when changing to first gear. Anyone else notice??? :?

Yeah, had the same problem, so I modified the charger so the lead came out the side instead of the end. Problem solved 8)

You know how you can solve this problem, you can buy a short shifter kit, so that when you do change gears it will not travel as far and hit the power adapter. :lol: :lol:

But on a serious note, yeah I have experienced your problem but never bothered to move add another cigarette lighter, which should be pretty easy to do. Just go to a car shop pick an outlet you like, mount it somewhere decent, and split the wires to join the new outlet :P
