bloody fine!!!
Sister wake me up early this morning,
Asked for a lift to the train station, due to rain, which is about 300mts away from house.
Left her at the train station, apparently the location I stopped was the bus stop, which everybody does it all day long.
Immediately after all the lights and siren shown up behind me,
I though the cop was trying to go to somewhere else tbh,
Anyways he pulled me up,
No licence on me, as the house is just around the corner, never an excuse though
There comes the ticket,
$180 + 3 demerit points
Fine is for failing to obey no entry sign.
Found it hard to believe, costs too much!
At least I didn’t get a ticket for not carrying licence though

Fines are huge these days.
SA Gov made a record profit (by a fair margin too) from them last year. I helped.

Hows this for fines:
I had my details written up last night (no fine) for drinking in a dry zone.
Mate and I were having a can each sitting in the car, private car park, before going into a club.
If they booked us the fine would be $170 each!!!
Lucky I was sitting down when they told me that.

I hate coppers.

Doing the job is one thing, but being completely anal about something and going over the top with fines is another.
Open road on the twisties, some family car doing at least 20 kph slower than the corner signs say. Get to a passing lane (we don't have many here, highways are mostly single lane) and the bastards speed up to 120 on the straight, I get to 130 to pass and immediately slow down and a cop nabs me.
That's fine, I was speeding, but why the hell do cops pick on the safest parts of roads to gather revenue. Surely if they positioned themselves near some blind corners they could ping people for stupid blind corner passing etc which continually happens here.
If I break the law, fine, I will take the fine. But "making the roads safer" should not just be concerned with speed. There are some terrible drivers out there that take some insane risks. But it seems too difficult or something...
Hell, I don't know, /rantOff

You no what, no matter what you think, as long as they feel like it. they'll book you and there's not a damn thing yu can do about it. Sure, you can complain, that'll just make u end up with a bigger fine.
Most of the cops are good decent guys, but the d*cks out there.. man they give me the sh*ts... like one time when i was going to work, and there's people turning right (there's traffic overflowing into the middle lane, since the lane in the right is just a shot lane opened up for people to go right), and so naturally i change lanes into the t2 on the left so i dont wait 5-7 mins for everybody to finish turning, and soon as i do, a cop is standing on the corner, he pulls me into a small line, and there's about 10 cars there already, and everybody that's driving in the t2 is getting pulled over.. and they're just sly.. u use a spot like that to book people, cmom its totally unfair.
and speaking of the train station, people got booked a lot outside the station, they just stop outside, drop the person off and drive away (takes less than 15 secnds) and there'd a dude bookin people from stopping in the no standing zone or watever it was.. its bs.
I thought they were out to take the idiots off the road, not make life hell for normal drivers.
