Depends on what they are doing..... and who's doing it

Mine was quite a bit more than both those amounts - but then I had an awful lot of work done (major service, water pump, cam seals, plus lots of other little niggles, are they using genuine Mitsi parts or aftermarket - figured that while they had engine in pieces may as well do it all)

Cheers

Yeah depends what parts you need / want. All those ancillaries can quickly add up, especially if you need things like rotors, pads, etc.

That being said gf got major service incl water pump and genuine timing belt for $800 last year.

Most of the prices in the links I posted above were under a grand. Very much depends on use of gen parts or not.

Piece of mind is one thing, but it just doesnt way up agaisnt things like a $400 for a water pump versus an aftermarket one for $80.

Just got my 100k service done, 10,000 k's overdue...

General Service, Timing belt, and a few other things here & there that needed doing + a tune, $460

Car is going better now, still need to do a few things to the engine to get it running smoother though

what did they tune? safc? The dyno itself would be $80 plus a tune ~150-200 alone.

$460 incl all that stuff seems very cheep.
