Windscreen squirt nozzles

Post by mr-charisma »

has anyone else had a problem with the windscreen water spray nozzles on their bonnet popping out once they've installed a strut tower brace?

I installed mine a while ago, and the things were popping out cause they were in line with the strut brace.

If anyone else has the same problem, just FYI if you disconnect the nozzle from the tube and cut the plastic pipe to shorten it, they will still work when you reconnect them and put them back on the car. Did this tonight and they seem to work fine.

I may decide at a later date to get a small piece of heatshrink tubing and melt it around where the nozzle connects to the rubber pipe - that should just seal it better & ensure that there are no leaks & that it won't come apart.

Will update if I notice any problems with it

I never had a problem with it in mine, whiteline brace on a GR with no abs. I'm sure this'll be a good help to anyone else in the same situation as you, nice easy fix! Good work matey.
