ye i no what u mean and think the same way abt not getting the money back, but your car could easily go for 15k, i mean cmon.. it's the PRES's car lol
i bought mine in feb for 16k with 48,000kms and by the time i'm done with it i would have spent a lot more, but by the time i sell it, even if i get 12k i still dont mind lol.
Why are FTO's so cheap?!?!

It has aged and it has aged quite well. I bought mine to $26500 about 5 years ago at 60000km and now it's at 210000km. I would never sell it either coz I'm way too attached to it now.
Would you cough up $80k for a 1990 model NSX? Or a better example would be......would you buy a 90-92 GTO for $15-$18k?

You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

I would for a clean 90's NSX, its still one of the best all rounder "super car" for its price. Till today there are still only few cars that made out of full aluminum like NSX. Also don't forget the stock Type R version can easily beat a GTR.Nacho wrote:Would you cough up $80k for a 1990 model NSX?
NSX and GTO are still rare, so you can't really use them to compare.

I would get an NSX...if I wanted one...which I dont. They are cool, always have been and always will be...they are a classic.
Its pointless to compare cars like this...if some1 likes it its up to them...not anyone else.
as for the point of this thread...
FTO = cool car at a very good price.
NSX = very cool car at a much more expensive price.
Ride to the Moon = COol fun at millions of dollars..
who gives a toss anyway? We are all here cos we own an FTO and we like them...we are not here cos we are expective to make money or even save money from buying one...if u wanna worry about money take aup a new hobby cos cars will not help u..

As Chris said....... you pay for what you think it's worth and if you didnt really want the car you wouldnt pay for it ... and would find the car you are prepared to pay that sort of money for......
But in reality anyone who has owned an FTO will agree they are a great car and 95% are very reliable cars .... thats what I loved most about the fto I have had mine know close to 4 going on 5 years and with good care regular services it's been one of the best cars I have owned!
And the look on peoples faces when 25 FTO's are driving around town together ................. PRICELESS !!!!
