bad time of year to be needing a new clutch as most places (read the good performance shops) are trying to close down for christmas (i.e. not taking any more bookings). Most performance shops will be able to supply you with one but i don't know how they'll go with fitting it this close to christmas.

Hey FTO2sxy,

I need to get a new clutch as well...
So maybe we could try and get few more people and see if we can do a group thing and hope it'll work out a little bit cheaper...

What do you think? However, obviously this is going to take time so it'll have to be after new years I'll say...

I had to have mine changed about half a year ago and I'm still driving with it and it actually seems quite ok though....
So I think I could last till the new years, although I would love to get it done soon my self...

Let me know what you think..

Thanks.

i do need a new clutch too...
well i think i do, just that everytime i go for a drive and get out of the car, i can smell burnt rubber coming from the hood of the car... i dont think its the tyres coz i know ive been easy on it.... gears are a bit sticky and at high rpms seems like its lost a bit of power.... so could be the clutch?
so if you guys are gonna look into a group buy, count me in please?
i have a GR though, if the clutch is diff to that of a GPX.
thanks

I have a Daikin Heavy Duty Clutch on mine as the arlliart clutch that the previous owner had shat itself..
The pedal feel on the Daikin is great....
I also have a lightened fly wheel so maybe it's wise to get a full clutch kit!!!

Remember heavy duty clutches doesn't mean it's a heavy feel!!!! The daikin clutch is barely diff to a stock clutch

Anyone had probs with various aftermarket clutches and gearboxes with the fto?
