where to fix tappets in melb

Hi Everyone,

I've got some pretty damm noisy tappets that need fixing cause my car sounds like old bomb. I've tried to call mitsubishi ralliart dealers in metro melb to get quotes and to get it done but they all say the tappets aren't adjustable which is a crock of crap cause gpx ones are adjustible i got a gpx dammit. I was advised that if they were to be worked on it would cost $2000 to replace this was at a mitsi service centre... just shocking!

Has anyone had their tappets adjusted at a reputable mechanic or at mitsi? I would really appeciate the mechanics contacts details are the prices you paid for it to be done...
