well there are a few things that go wrong with the fto, but its nothing major, usually stepper motor and the droplinks die and one of the gear box sensors in the tiptronic goes, and central locking thing can burn out but theres nothing much else that goes wrong and they are exactly expensive things to fix.

parts are expensive when something does go wrong, but what import car isnt expensive to fix?

and also 20k is about the price late models go for, also what car from 1998 goes for 20k and looks as nice as the fto? none that i know of

Well just like any other cars, if you look after it, it will run well.

Just keep in mind, aftermarket performance parts cost a lot more then most Jap cars and the result aren't "bang for your bucks" either.

It is a great handler and looks good even though its 11yrs old design now.

Unless you bought a ferrari, then it doesn't matter what you got, you will always have friends that will whige about your car.

well Lets say a Toyota Celica 162 1989 Model...Jap Engine 2.0L TwinCam Which has 103kw and he thinks His got the fastest car on the road and was telling me he can beat the FTO and stuff He thinks FTO are Not Reliable at all. and reakons His Toyota Will never die out on him ever.

Apart from that everyone else is driving Rubbish On The Road for example Excel's and Daweoo lol haha I'd rather ride my bike than hop in anything like that.
