I have an old issue of HPI where they test a manual and a tiptronic FTO GPX. They gave the manual FTO GPX as 7.2seconds 0-100 and 101kw atw iirc, the tiptronic scored 7.6seconds 0-100 and 96kw. The article also mentions with both cars lined up at the lights, a good launch in the manual will pull a car length or two straightaway (that's with the tiptronic up against the stall converter).

From my own experiences, those figures sound about right. I own a FTO gpx manual and have gteched my car at 6.67 (yes i know what everyone thinks of gtechs lol, it was done on a very flat road and it was setup correctly though). Only mods being a HKS pod, shielded from heat and an earthing kit. Engine's in pretty good nick though.

The thing is, when used properly, the gtech does seem to be quite accurate. My mates slightly modded WRX bugeye got 6.14 seconds, mates auto four cyl VW bora got 10.67s, my 2nd car got high 9s (an auto modded 1.6L corolla), friend's evo 6 slight mods got 6.34s on a slightly wet road.

Sorry, don't have much info on the GR though :(

Edit: Fixed transmission type for manual fto gpx stats.

Haha yeah same. Can't justify the several hundred dollars on it though...would rather spend it on the car heh. Can't really see myself using most of the functions they come with either hrmm...nevertheless, still want one lol.
