As long as you have posted at least one message, a faster way to do this is to use the "Search" link above, as this allows you to search for a username whereas with the member list you can only browse through it.

Then do as Boris has said - click on your profile and your User ID will be the number at the very end of the URL.

by Boris » Sat Apr 24, 2004 4:23 pm

Ok, try 1068. :P

For anyone else that reads this thread and wants to find their username, you can go to the members list section, then when you find your username, click on it. In the URL, at the end you will see your username.

I was stupid enough to do as the others above, but hey im new so cut me a break!! :(

can i get my user id number so i can once again access this fine site?? pleeeeeeeeeease?

my user name is: slither

by ruchi » Sun Mar 07, 2004 10:24 am

It's nice to know I'm still appreciated

For the record, all the themes work, with the exception of "Cool_Blue"

Steve, it would pay to either fix or remove the "Cool_Blue" theme so we don't have any more users troubled by this.

For the people who have posted above here is the direct link for each of you, which already includes your User ID.

Remember, you must first login to the system with your original username and password.

Hey Ruchi,

Could you please tell me what my original User ID is?

Brendan (DZYRME)

by ruchi » Sat Mar 06, 2004 10:11 pm

OK, I've had a look at the coding of this website and have worked out a solution (it helps when you develop websites ).

Here is a solution for all those effected:

1) The first thing you need to obtain is your original User ID, this will be a number. If you don't know how to do this, then post a message here and I'll look it up for you.

2) Log in to this website using your original username and password. I understand that once you login nothing will work, but for this fix to work you MUST be logged in.

3) Replace the XXX in the line below with your User ID, then copy and paste that line into your web browser.

4) Once you have done this, the theme should change back to the default one, and you should find yourself back in the "Your Account" area.

Have you tried letting Steve know... maybe he can help.

I don't think i contacted him enthusiasticly enough, so maybe if you try harder, he might be able to help.

This problem suxx... needs to be fixed...

by Guest » Sat Mar 06, 2004 9:29 pm

COOL!
All we need now is a hacker, hehe, jst kidding :D

i don't really care about the post count, it's just the history... anyway... i'm ready to begin my new life on the forum as Boris now :D

by ruchi » Wed Mar 03, 2004 2:04 pm

Boris, the post count figure can be manually altered in the database. It would be possible for example to bring Mikey down to 0

by Boris » Wed Mar 03, 2004 2:00 pm

Yeah, ofcourse... I donno about actually linking the posts to my new profile, because the post count value in the db can't exist without some sort of link to the actuall post... so then you can browse you post history :)

Correct me if i'm wrong mate :)

This problem could be big if something isn't done about it. I still haven't heard from Steve about this... Steve??? :?

by ruchi » Wed Mar 03, 2004 1:53 pm

Again Boris, it would just be a matter of manually altering the post figure in the database.

So what other symptons does she have Mikey? Did she change her theme too?

by GPXXX » Wed Mar 03, 2004 1:50 pm

FYI Toni (SXCFTO) is also having similar issues... (can see herself as logged on but cannot access the forums. Deleted the cookies and temp files but with no success)

by Boris » Wed Mar 03, 2004 1:19 pm

Thanx for your help ppl... :D

I just got a new account, it saves Steve the hasle of actually going into the DB... Well... if only he could transfer my posts... :?

I think it could of been cool blue... i can't remember... lesson learn, don't tamper with themes :D

So ppl, be advised don't touch the themes... i wonder if anyone managed to change to one? hmm...

by SilentBobMk2 » Wed Mar 03, 2004 11:53 am

have no idea on which template...maybe he should just disable all of them and leave it plain
