Sat 25th Sept: Black Spur & Sugarloaf Reservoir Cruise +

Post by GPXXX »

Yes folks it's time for another cruise. My apologies for such a short notice - please understand that my time is tight therefore I will have to make this short n' sweet:

What: Marysville via Black Spur & Sugarloaf Reservoir Cruise + BBQ
When: Saturday 25th September 2004
Time: Meet 10am, leave 10:30am
Where: Doncaster Pancake Parlour car park
Cost: Free

The main aim of this cruise is simply a get together for all (old and new) members to enjoy some quality driving and a bite with some good company.

This will also be the last cruise organised by yours truly as your State Coord (as you are probably aware by Steve's recent announcement of my resignation).

Nevertheless, it will be a long day of driving, but usual rules apply - no reckless driving, drive within limits and no heroes.

Note: due to time constraints, the charity segment of the event will not go ahead as planned.

Yep very good point , I got caught around that area on the Easter weekend.

Common guy's no better way to celebrate the Grand FInal than in an FTO cruise

I think there is a lot of us who would like to show our support and thank Mikey, but due to the short notice of this event and being Grand Final day I don't think this event is going to be truly reflective of the number of people who appreciate what he has done.

With less than 36 hours to go, is there anyone other than the following who is definitely going?
- Mikey (GPXXX)
- Joel (Black_FTOGPX)
- Toni (SXCFTO)

If not, lets postpone this event and do it with a bit more time and give Mikey a proper thank you.

my sincerest apologies about the short notice everybody...

I understand that there is a whole lot of you out there who has been itching for a cruise to Black Spur for a very long time now (including myself). To make things a whole lot easier for everyone (and ensure each and everyone of you have the opportunity), I will postpone this cruise for next weekend instead (which is probably the last 'free' weekend I'm gonna have for a while)

This is also partialy due to the fact that I completely forgot it's the Footy Grand Final weekend (which means there will be plenty of cops around and I rather not take the chance) and I would really like to see a bigger turnout (which again, I apologize for such a late notice)... not so much for a 'thank you' gathering as such but it would be nice to have a pack of 20+ FTOs cruising together again, don't you think? ;)

btw, speaking of "thank you's", there's no need to make a big deal about my resignation etc... i will still be around ;):P

anyway, i'll repeat - the Black Spur & Sugarloaf Cruise will be postponed for next weekend instead, 2nd October 2004.

Let's hope we can get everyone involved! :D
