A little project of mine..

Post by Technikhaus »

Thought I may put a post up for a project I've been working on for the last few weeks.
My goal has been to get a digital display working to show the Tacho and speedo as well as a few other things showing that we can't normally get on our cars due to the lack of OBD2..

Goals:
Read Tacho: working
Display on LCd: working
Read speed: In progress
Read Fuel level
Read water temp
Make smaller...

the second video is crap quality as it was just taken on my phone, but it's just to show it displaying on the LCD.

I'm currently working on reading the speed, but I'm just waiting while I try to get my hands on a Oscilloscope.

The end plan will be to have it all displayed on a 3" full colour display, or sent to my Tablet in the dash.

More to come as I get through it :)

Do you use it?

I was wondering how you keep track of your speed running 45 profile on an 18 inch wheel.

I suppose that works as well. Still wish there was a way to adjust the speedo. unless there is and I've missed it.

no sh*t! HMMM. Maybe I might go for 18s afterall, haha.

I wonder how difficult the install would be though, cause it certainly wouldn't be me doing it!

It mostly started in my Bachelors, we started learning programming etc.
This has extended off of that :p
