f**k me 8O

Wonder if theres any way to contact the supposed 'owner' of the car but i guess its futile, as the plates have been taken. Would happily spring for a tow back to mine to part this out

Anything taken off it though is technically still classed as illegal and whatnot.
If i wasnt such a pussy id get it towed back to mine and part it out myself

Hey andrew - did you spy the rego on the rego sticker on the windscreen? Ill see if i can find an owner through it and get em to give permission/ownership to me so i can part it out maybe give em a few hundred to ensure it?

It doesnt actually look to be in that bad of a condition. Could use the front bar, fogs, indicator assembly and the body looks to be fairly straight and genuine. Could do with some weathershields too 8)

I had a look on google street view, can't see the actual FTO, but it's parked outside of a 2 storey house. Go knock on the door, see if they need a fuel flap.

If i can actually get genuine ownership somehow, i would honestly either part it out or get it back on the road and sell it. Thinking of taking a gander at it right now.

Ok serious question - if i get the rego off the car, how will i go about getting in contact with the owner? Will the DMV supply an owner/address?

Knock on the door and ask. The DMV wont give that info but if you have got a police friend ;)
If it's bandened, I believe it becomes a local council issue to remove ;)

Is it outside a house? assumed by the picture its just on the side of the road. I will definitely be down there first thing and see if i can pick it up. Could potentially be a free car.
If it is abandoned completely, i would probably brake the window at night, put it up on a car trailer and take it back home and part it out. Its just gonna sit there otherwise...

Why on earth would you break the window when it's very simple to unlock.....

If its disowned, would it technically be legal to take?

ok ill reword that - i would get into the car somehow.

And yea daniel i have no clue but who is it gonna hurt? Saves the owner the problem of getting rid of it, saves the council money to get it towed - hopefully if its parked outside a house that house is the owner

EDIT: And if not, and they say its abandoned ill just tell em hey im getting rid of it im sure theyll be more than happy to help haha
