Got a mate at work that can paint cars. My FTO is silver, and I was thinking of getting him to paint the part of the hood where it raises, just those lines outside, and roof scoop in the same spot, as well as the "FTO" on the back. Also undecided wether to paint the side groove. I'd probably do that last, if at all. I was thinking a super red colour (almost orange) or an electric blue colour. Leaning more towards the red. Thoughts?

Photoshop is your friend, and that would be very easy to photoshop.

Yeah i dont blame you. It seems a bit flashy. The car at the moment looks a bit bare or boring simply because its just a kinda dull silver/grey type colour, Im not really sure what to do with it :/ Perhaps some new rims would fix it up a bit?

Not enough money for a re-spray at the moment haha. I kinda like the spoiler, but I wouldnt mind getting a new one. New rims are a must!

Have a look in members rides (gallery) for ideas. Plenty of inspiration in there.

Personally I would say no to the red like that, maybe in a darker shade of silver. But that is just my 2c.

Take the spoiler off. They look a tonne better without it.

Put some nice rims on it, facelift front bar and a big exhaust tip and HID's

Im planning on getting rims, but im undecided wether to get black or silver/chrome or white. Probably leaning towards whites, relatively similar to the stock ones. It already has a decent exhaust, sounds real clean and looks nice. I cant figure out if its stock or not, though :/ I'll get pics soon!

Don't paint stripes n sh*t, it could age terribly and be hard to re-sell
Do reversible mods, you may grow out of having a modded car.
These are basic, and cheap, and you can keep the rims if you sell/crash the car.
Cut and polish, plastic restorer on faded bits, big black rims (17's are a good fit), red painted callipers, lower on its anus (buy lowered or compressed springs) don't cut front springs... trust me :P, 5% tint (or lighter if you aren't game), personalised plates if you can afford them, decent pod filter if you want it to be louder.
It will be ultra illegal, but look gangster!

This is what i had before i got the veilside kit

    Image

You might like it, you might not but it was just 2 vinyls for the stripes ($40) and the mouth painted black ($130). I also had my side indicators tinted (not in pic), as well as the tail lights for a 'black & silver' kind of theme. Wouldn't cost much to paint your rims black if you wanted to go for that, but up to you man. I'm close mates with a spray painter so I'm going gunmetal grey for $600 :D
